This ring is of importance to the educational history of Mason due to the significance it holds as a piece of history for future family members to have. "I remember wanting to order a class ring when given the opportunity as a sophomore in high school because I recall seeing my grandpa's old class ring and my mom's. I liked seeing the history of family members in a small piece of jewelry that can be passed down as the years carry on. I wore my ring for the years leading up to high school graduation and for a time into college. I appreciate the sentiment of having something small to remind me of my accomplishments and interests from high school and my teenage years."</text>

When Alice attempted to try out for the a cappella choir in her junior year, the director told her that they were full since auditions for girls took place a year in advance and suggested she get a job for something to do after school. Disappointed, but not discouraged, Alice found an opportunity to sing a solo during a school assembly. Afterwards, as Alice recalled, the choir director called her mother, Ruby, requesting Alice join the choir at once. The next day, with her head held high, Alice replied to the director saying that she was too busy to join the choir now that she had gotten a job. She met her future husband, Ernest Antonacci, at that cinema job. She wrote letters to him everyday during her senior year as he fought overseas in WWII.</text>
