Title A name given to the resource Program, Fundraiser Event, “Invest in Illinois”, Brad Glass for Republican Candidate for Illinois Treasurer, unknown date, 1978 Description An account of the resource Program for the first fundraising banquet event held during Glass’ campaign, specific date, time, or location unknown (though possibly taking place within DuPage County, Illinois) for Republican Brad Glass’ unsuccessful bid for Illinois Treasurer in the 1978 Republican primary. The program cover is done in Glass’ campaign theme colors of white, silver-gray, and teal-green or green. The cover features a black and white photo of Glass beneath his campaign slogan “Invest in Illinois”, with the preview agenda of the evening’s events given on page two, while the third page promotes a gourmet Menu above a ledger of members comprising the event’s Arrangements Committee. The fourth page catalogs the banquet’s Co-Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, and Honorary Vice-Chairmen; Republican notables populating these lists include Donald and Mrs. Rumsfeld and former Illinois Governor Richard B. Ogilvie. The register of honorary vice-chairmen provides the names of a number of Republican Illinois Representatives and Senators. The Chicago Lyric Opera entertains the event’s attendees.
