Dublin Core
Title
Russian Nesting Doll (Matryoshka)
Description
Guenevere Black-Ford's high school had a partnership with the gymnasium in Uelzen, Germany, for over thirty years. A friend of hers went to Uelzen a year before her and stayed with an immigrant Russian host family. Upon hearing of Ford's interest in Russian history, the host family sent this doll back to the US for Ford. This nesting doll was one of the few items the family still had from Russia.
