Two campaign pencils supporting George T. Wilkins and Vernon L. Nickell for Illinois Superintendent of Public Instruction, now known as Illinois State Superintendent. Both campaigns were successful. Vernon L. Nickell served in the position from 1943-1959 with George T. Wilkins succeeding him from 1959-1963.
