This is a two color campaign poster from the 1968 Presidential Election. Richard Nixon won the election and became the first Vice President to attain the office of President since 1836. Agnew has been Governor of Maryland before becoming the 39th Vice President of the US. He had served in the Army during WW II. Nixon had like Agnew for his work with African Americans and advocating for better civil rights and jobs. The photo for this poster where both Nixon and Agnew are waiving to the audience was taken at the 1968 Republican Party National Convention.
